Semester Feedback

At the beginning of the semester, I really wasn’t sure what to expect from this class. To be honest, the only reason I was taking it was because it is a requirement for my major. Once we got to Photoshop and especially the later lessons on HTML, I found myself completely lost. Luckily, I was able to make  a good friend in a classmate of mine who helped me a great deal throughout the semester. We spent many Thursdays after class in the 10th floor lab working on my Photoshop skills and practicing writing HTML.

My favorite part of the semester were the video and photo projects. I really enjoyed the freedom to go out and explore the Upper East Side with my lab partner and express our creativity. While there were some guidelines for the assignment, I felt that they were really helpful. Too much freedom can sometimes lead to confusion and a lack of organization.

The only thing I would change about this class is that I thought we were going to have much more freedom with our blogs. Our blogs turned out to be just a posting site for our assignments throughout the semester. At the beginning of the semester, I was expecting our blogs to be used for both assignments and our own personal writing. This should be made clearer at the beginning of the semester.

All in all, I feel like a learned very valuable skills to be able to put on a resume. The skills I learned in this class will also help me succeed next semester in MEDP 160, which figures to be a much greater challenge. You did a fantastic job this semester with our class, Martyna. Keep up the good work and good luck with all of your future projects.
